About a week ago we were able to acquire a new dog. Thanks to Tim's uncle Royal who found this pup we became the proud new family to a german shepherd-border collie mix. After a trip to the vet to make sure he didn't belong to someone, we brought him home. He is so docile, and such a sweet dog. The kids love him and have had a great time getting to know him. Avarie especially has become closely attached to this dog. We got him Thursday the 11th and between Thursday and Saturday lost him 3 different times. He was however great at coming back. Unfortunately he wandered off again on Saturday! This time however he did not come back. Avarie was DISTRAUGHT to say the least! She struggled to understand why he didn't want to stay with us. It was a great opportunity to explain to her God's sovereignty even in this, her dog missing. We prayed and tried to explain that perhaps God's will was for Buddy to be with another family. But God in his graciousness directed us to where Buddy was! A friend called on Monday and said that she had heard about someone that was holding a dog that matched our description. We called them and sure enough, he was found Saturday morning not far from our house and the family put them in their shop so he wouldn't take off. We got him back Monday night and our kids could not be more thrilled!
One of our cats doesn't have the time for Buddy, but Emily here was very quick to let him know what she thought of him!
Buddy made a trip to the vet Thursday morning and hopefully that will help with the desire to wander!
